It seems today is the day for regional aircraft orders with American Airlines adding 15 more Embraer E-175 to its fleet.

The order firm order 15 Embraer E-175s, which at list price is worth US$705 million.
The planes will be delivered in a two-class 76 seat configuration, split between 12 in First Class, 64 in Main Cabin (with some seats in Main Cabin Extra). They will be delivered during March and October 2019.
Including the new planes American Airlines have added 89 E-175 aircraft to its fleet, with incremental orders building out the fleet.
On the order, aid Charlie Hillis, Vice President, Sales & Marketing, North America, Embraer Commercial Aviation states
“We are thrilled that the E175 continues to be the right solution for American. This is American’s fourth order for the E175 since 2013 and their repeat order demonstrates how well the aircraft serves their business needs and the confidence they have in our platform”
The 15 new aircraft will be operated by Envoy (a regional subsidiary owned by American Airlines).
I’ve flown aboard these planes a few times – both in Main Cabin and in First – and I have a love of the type for being spacious and comfortable for a regional plane (in fact, I’d prefer an Embraer E-Jet over some mainline Boeing aircraft for the comfort experience)

Mark says
Much better plane than CRJ
Bob says
Much nicer customer experience than an ERJ, CRJ, or 737 MAX!
I still love me my old Super 80s though 🙂
