Etihad are expanding its buy-on-board options aboard its services for those customers who want a few more amenities in economy class.
The airline is expanding its options in Economy Class, with new snack options from Munchbox and Freakin’ Healthy.
According to the airline, the snacks promise t deliver healthier food options using natural ingredients, no added sugar and are GMO free.
Linda Celestino, Vice President Guest Experience and Delivery on the increase stated
“Etihad Airways is always looking at new ways to increase our offering to tailor the guest experience by providing premium and unique products. Launched in December 2017, our additional buy on board items have proven to be a popular treat that make travelling with us even more special.”
So what can you get on-board? A variety of items – and not just snacks.
- Freakin’ Healthy Raw Chocolate Bars
- Hunter Ridges Crisps
- Hunter’s Gourmet Vegetable Crisps
- Munchbox Roasted Corn Kernels and Almonds | Assorted Nuts
- Nakd Snack Bars
- Joe & Seph’s Gourmet Popcorn
- Saile & Sabga Gourmet Hot Chocolate
- Snack Box (Sea Salt Crisps, Smarties, a Kit Kat and a Mars Bar)
For those looking to make their journey more premium, the airline also offers
- Piper-Heidsieck Brut NV Champagne by the glass
- Christian Lacroix male and female branded amenity kits with Omorovicza products
- Christian Lacroix branded sleepwear
The products will be loaded on Etihad’s long-haul and ultra long-haul flights. The airline is also planning a digital version of the list to be integrated into the In-Flight Entertainment system.
Etihad has been selling its premium offerings to its economy passengers for a price for some time, offering pay lounges, chauffeur transfers, extra legroom seats, and actual advance seat assignments.
It seems with the losses inured by the airline, it’s trying to drive more revenue from its economy cabin in various ways. Whilst this has been going on since December 2017, the latest numbers will probably have focused Etihad’s mind a bit.
