Adventures in buying Avios on Groupon: Part 2 – Adding the Avios to the account

24/01/2019 by Kevincm

Let’s continue my Groupon adventure where I try to get 2,000 Avios for €19 in my Iberia Plus account (which then I’ll move into my BA Exec Account)

So. Do I have a valid voucher? It seems so.

Well. They appear to be there. Lets hit click details and see what we’ve got.

So we need to click the “See your Groupon”. This starts a lovely PDF File which has the security codes and PIN Codes. I’ve taken them out as I’m not sharing them with you – so you can get the Avios before me.

Good luck getting the coupons out of me people.

Once you’ve done that – there’s a link to follow. This takes you to Google Form where you need to enter your details. Because a Google Form is obviously the best way to collect data in the world no matter what anyone says… (actually… I have issues. But that’s besides the point)

Again – details redacted. I Love you all. But not the data theives out there.

Press submit… and you get this message.

Well, I think it says my Avios should hit my Iberia Plus account in 10 days if my Spanish is reasonable.

Well, I’ve set myself a reminder that I’ll be checking back on my Iberia Plus account in 10 days to see if the points have turned up… or not.

Next: Part III – Do the points arrive? And will I be able to Combine my Avios?
