SNAPSHOT: Crowne Plaza O’Hare

30/03/2019 by Kevincm

Time for another snapshot – this time looking at the Crowne Plaza O’Hare.

For those of you who are new to the blog:

  • Trip Reports – These are full deep-dive reports taking you into the experience and the small things… as well as the big things!
  • Snapshots – These are bite-sized reviews that show you the basic product in some nice gentle headlines (and normally, only images shot on the phone)

Getting there

You can either use a shuttle bus or a taxi/Uber to get there from O’Hare.

The hotel is on North River Road, a short walk away from Rosemont CTA station for those who are walking inclined. I cheated and used a Uber to avoid the Chicago Taxi Mafia (and the evil looks you get for daring to take a short trip, rather than an expensive trip downtown).

The hotel

a building with a parking lot

Two towers and pretty way easy place to find.

Check-in

Check-in was an easy process, with my details confirmed (including an identity check) and my request for a high floor/near the lifts confirmed.

An offer of a drink or bonus points were offered. I took the points.

The Room

A pretty standard room, with a big queen sized bed.

a room with a bed and a couch a couch in a room a coffee maker and other items on a table

The bathroom was well stocked too

a sink in a bathroom a group of small bottles on a counter

The bed was firm and comfortable, whilst the sofa was way too comfortable to get off of after a transatlantic flight.

Dining

Not utilised. The hotel is equipped with a restaurant, coffee shop and gift shop on-site. I chose to enjoy the local delights of instant noodles from Walgreens instead.

Checkout

Check out was handled quickly and efficiently, with everything billed to the credit card.

With that paperwork done. I was allowed to go on my way to the next hotel.

The full review soon!
