It seems the airline that thought it was a fashion brand and of course – a rooftop bar – is coming to an end, with Joon by Air France is ceasing service today.

All Joon services will fold back into Air France, and will operate as Air France flights.

And thus ends this… well… “Je Ne Sais Quoi” of an airline.
Joon was a mixture of things – an attempt at lowering costs, using the airline as a lab to try out new ideas (such as the CozyJoon Couch, streaming IFE).
But ultimately- it had one big problem. What was Joon? Its place in the market at best was confused, and at worst it was a distraction from the Air France-KLM brands. As this video from the launch is a reminder that wasn’t sure exactly what it was.
