The British Airways World Traveller Plus Amenity Kit. For some years, it’s been rather lack-lustre (to be polite). Thankfully, the airline has decided to update its softer product for Premium Economy.
Let’s have a look and see what goodies there are.

The new amenity kits will include an eyeshade, soft socks, a pen, a toothbrush and toothpaste and lip balm from the Scaramouche & Fandango range – a slight upgrade from the old kit that had no lip balm.
The new kits are made from recycled plastic bottles.
In addition, new soft passenger comfort items are being added including a new quilt and cushion – based on the herringbone pattern used in British Airways First

Carolina Martinoli, British Airways’ Director of Brand and Customer Experience, said:
“We’re investing £6.5bn for our customers and these improvements to World Traveller Plus mark part of that investment.
“The new menus that we introduced in World Traveller Plus earlier this year have been a huge hit with customers and this second phase including the new washbags, quilts and cushions will really add to the comfort of the cabin.”
It’s taken long enough…
With an introduction into service from the 1st July 2019, this will be the first refresh of the kit for some years (I can’t recall it changing over the past four years at least).

In addition, the airline is adding new cocktails including Gin Fizz or Bloody Mary for a cocktail, or a Citrus Twist for a non-alcoholic alternative. This is in addition to the revised catering (which wasn’t bad when I tried it earlier this year).
Also, in a little known highlight – you can also order meals up to 24 hours in advance of departure now when departing from London.
It adds on to an improving (if adequate depending on the equipment) cabin that is offered, making British Airways World Traveller Plus more of a choice compared to some premium economy products that are out there.

What a total waste of time and money the amenity packs are. The only useful item there is the pen. Mine usually goes straight into the rubbish without opening
