- Community is everything
The Avgeek community is a big community across the world. We come together for our love of aircraft – be they big ones, small ones, commercial, military and so on.
We come together because we can share an appreciation of an engine noise, a wing or even the paint of an aircraft
We come together, both online and also… in the real world.
And that real world connection becomes more important as we live out our lives online. We can … connect.
And connections are everything in this world.
If you get the chance to meet up in the real world – always take the chance to catch up with people. You never know what you can learn and what you can share.

My thanks to @essiejosie and @ailbhegavin for organising another great get-together.
Oh – there’s some reviews I’ve got to wrap up haven’t I? Let’s do some one-liners.
Birmingham Airport – less of a hot mess than normal. Which is nice to see.
Aer Lingus EI263 – The crew delivered a reasonable service in the time allowed, with a comfortable enough product, making Aer Lingus short-haul passable.
Dublin Airport T2 – Not too bad, but who put that duty free shop between security and the gate area…
Aer Lingus Regional: I’m constantly impressed what you can do with the smaller frame of an ATR and the service that can be delivered aboard this turboprop – and that it can offer a compelling option for the short range service, providing its tied with the right seating and service.
And the watching planes – Was far too enjoyable.
Next up: I’ve been teasing this for the past couple of week – but I’m almost ready to start publishing the next trip report. And by almost I mean “give me an extra week or so to get some more writing done so I’ve got a reasonable head start”.
It’s time I got out of the country, got some tier points and lived the premium life out of my own pocket again.
Please join me in “Summer Premium Travels” featuring a bit of British Airways, a lot of Qatar Airways and Scoot – with a lot of photos, a lot of food… and why sometimes I need to pack Loperamide in my travel kit.
Until we see each other again – happy flying!
