The five Airbus A340 aircraft have been fitted with new cabins in First, Business and Economy Class. Here are some example pictures Swiss have provided of the interior refits.

The five aircraft have new seats fitted in their cabins – which are equivalent to the same seats installed aboard the airlines Boeing 777-300ER fleet across all three classes.
In addition, the aircraft has been fitted with a new In-Flight Entertainment System, with on-board Internet Access via Wi-Fi (by Panasonic Aerospace) and new lighting systems installed in the cabin.

On the refit, Swiss Chief Commercial Officer Tamur Goudarzi Pour said
“With the completion of our Airbus A340 cabin refurbishment programme we are further underlining our quality commitment, and now offer all our customers the same premium air travel experience, including inflight internet connectivity, on all our long-haul flights.”
Where can you find them?
The Swiss Airbus A340-300 aircraft are based out of the Zurich Airport hub and operated on routes from the hub to Boston, Johannesburg and Shanghai. The type will also feature on the new Osaka route the airline is planning to launch in March.
Swiss also operates Airbus A330-300 and Boeing 777-300ER in its long haul fleet – again based out of the airline’s Zurich hub.
Unifying the Cabin Experience
Unifying a cabin experience has benefits for the passenger – namely, you can expect the same product each time you board a companies aircraft.
Or one thing that I love – a constantly delivered product.
Whilst sometimes it’s nice to fly aircraft with different configurations or different products, knowing when you board an aircraft that a certain level of cabin fit, seat and configuration can offer a sense of certainty.
Until they start work on installing a Premium Economy cabin in 2021…
