Cathay Pacific opens more routes up to connect Hong Kong to the world

Hong Kong carrier Cathay Pacific is adding more routes back to its network, as it emerges from an awful few months The changes to the network from July will increase connectivity to China, North America, Asia, Australia and Europe.

So what are the planned changes?

China and Taiwan

  • Beijing – 1-11 July:   7 flights weekly, 12-31 July:  14 flights weekly
  • Chengdu – 12-31 July: 3 flights weekly
  • Fuzhou – 12-31 July: 3 flights weekly
  • Guangzhou – 12-31 July: 3 flights weekly
  • Hangzhou – 12-31 July: 3 flights weekly
  • Shanghai – 1-11 July:  7 flights weekly, 12-31 July:  14 flights weekly
  • Xiamen – 12-31 July:  4 flights weekly
  • Taipei (Taiwan) – 1-11 July:  4 flights weekly, 12-31 July:  7 flights weekly

India and Asia

  • Bangkok (Thailand) –  1-11 July:   5 flights weekly, 12-31 July:  7 flights weekly
  • Delhi (India) – 3 flights weekly – Ho Chi Minh City (Vietnam) – 1-11 July:  2 flights weekly, 12-31 July:  3 flights weekly
  • Jakarta (Indonesia) –  1-11 July:  3 flights weekly, 12-31 July: 7 flights weekly
  • Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia) 1-11 July:  3 flights weekly, 12-31 July:  7 flights weekly
  • Mumbai (India) – 3 flights weekly
  • Singapore – 1-11 July:  3 flight weekly, 12-31 July:  7 flights weekly
  • Seoul (South Korea) – 12-31 July:  3 flights weekly
  • Tokyo (Japan) – 1-11 July:  3 flights weekly, 12-31 July: 7 flights weekly

North America

  • Los Angeles (USA) –  5 flights weekly
  • New York (USA) – 3 flights weekly
  • San Francisco (USA) – 3 flights weekly
  • Toronto (Canada) – 3 flights weekly
  • Vancouver (Canada) – 5 flights weekly

Australia

  • Melbourne – 1-11 July:  2 flights weekly,12-31 July:  3 flights weekly
  • Sydney – 1-11 July:   4 flights weekly, 12-31 July:  5 flights weekly

Europe

  • Amsterdam (Netherlands) 1-11 July:  2 flights weekly, 12-31 July:  3 flights weekly-
  • Frankfurt (Germany) -12-31 July:  3 flights weekly
  • London (United Kingdom) 5 flights week

It goes without saying the schedules subject to change, as countries adapt to their COVID-19 responses. In addition, you will need to ensure you can meet entry requirements of counties too (as they are vastly different from pre-COVID travel).

Hong Kong Airport is open for transit too – however, there are strict guidelines to transiting in the territory – and you will not be able to enter Hong Kong unless you meet its residency requirements.
