Emirates to scale up its Moscow service – enter the A380!

17/09/2020 by Kevincm

It’s been a hot few days since Emirates relaunched their Dubai to Moscow Domodedovo service. Well, demand is high it seems for those two flight a week to be up-scaled from the existing Boeing 777-300ER to the larger Airbus A380.

Emirates A380 will operate the Dubai to Moscow Domodedovo route starting 18th of September.

Emirates currently serves five cities utilising its A380 aircraft including, Cairo, Paris, London Heathrow, Guangzhou and Toronto.

The airline will gradually expand the deployment of this popular aircraft in line with demand and operational approvals.

Emirates will continue two flights a week between Dubai and Moscow, based on the following timetable

EK 133 DEPART DXB 10:10 ARRIVE DME 14:15 FRIDAYS
EK 134 DEPART DME 17:35 ARRIVE 23:35 FRIDAYS
EK 131 DEPART DXB 16:15 ARRIVE DME 20:30 SATURDAYS
EK 132 DEPART DME 23:20 ARRIVE DXB 05:30+1 SATURDAYS Commences 18th September 20202 Booked Equipment Emirates Airbus A380
Data: Emirates

Flights can be booked on emirates.com or via travel agents.

If you’re travelling beyond Moscow Domodedovo, Emirates codeshare with S7 Airlines to provide greater connectivity.

Emirates currently serves over 85 destinations in its network, offering passengers travelling between the Americas, Europe, Africa, the Middle East, and Asia Pacific safe and convenient connections via Dubai.

The beast awakens … where there is demand

Whilst the A380 has its faults (and certainly suffered this year), it has a place in a fleet where demand exists to transport people from A to B.

And it seems that this route has enough passenger to deploy the double-decker wonder on.

Of course, the next improvement step would be improving the frequency – but one step at a time it seems.
