The JAL Covid-19 cover service is provided by Allianz Travel. It includes coverage of up to €150,000 in total medical costs resulting from the initial COVID-19 testing fee and subsequent medical treatment for those that test positive during their travels.
Additional coverage for isolation costs and repatriation is also included for those requiring such after a positive diagnosis.
The service will feature a global 24-hour support line in English and Japanese. This will be available to assist customers exhibiting symptoms and to provide peace of mind throughout their journey.
The coverage will offered from 23rd December December 2020, through to 30th June 2021. It will be valid for 31 days from the first leg of an international Japan Airlines flight, expiring after 31 days, or when you return to your country of residence.

Building confidence to travel
Airlines have their own cleaning standards to help things along, but offering COVID-19 insurance is another of providing passenger reassurance when they are travelling.
Whilst entry into Japan remains very limited for now, for those who can – the extra reassurance might be worthwhile.
