Emirates is continuing to grow its network out, with plans to resume old operations – including its Newark via Athens service.

The Dubai to Newark via Athens service will restart on on the 1st June 2021.
Planned operation is as follows:
EK209 DEPART DXB 10:50 ARRIVE ATH 15:00 - DEPART ATH 17:35 ARRIVE EWR 21:20 EK210 DEPART EWR 23:55 ARRIVE ATH 16:05+1 - DEPART ATH 18:05+1 ARRIVE DXB 23:35+1 Commences 1st June 2021 Operates Daily Booked Equipment: Boeing 777-300ER - Three Class Data: Emirates
The Dubai-Athens-Newark flight will operate daily with a three-class Boeing 777-300ER, complementing Emirates’ double daily flights to New York-JFK. Emirates will also increase its flights to the Greek capital, Athens, flying daily to support the newly resumed service.
The addition of Newark via Athens will take Emirates’ US network to 10 destinations following the resumption of services to Seattle, Boston, Chicago, Houston, Los Angeles, New York JFK, Washington DC, Dallas and San Francisco. The link will allow passengers who prefer to use Newark to connect back to Greece and onwards through to the Middle East, West Asia, and Africa via Dubai.
Emirates’ booking policies offer customers flexibility and confidence to plan their travel. Customers who purchase an Emirates ticket for travel on or before 30 September 2021, can enjoy generous rebooking terms and options if they have to change their travel plans. Customers have options to change their travel dates or extend their ticket validity for 2 years. More information here.
Connecting the dots back together
Emirates is slowly and steadily reconnecting the dots of its network back to its Dubai hub, as well as reestablishing its one-stop services. With June in the distance, there is plenty of time for restrictions to loosen to enable further travel.
And hopefully, allow passengers to flow.
