If you have a battle pile of Avios, and wanting to get away with them, this weekend British Airways is offering boosts when part-paying with them.
With Avios part payment, you can reduce the cost of a British Airways flight. Even better, for this weekend only your Avios could be worth up to four times more than usual, meaning that somewhere far away just got a lot closer.
If you want to take advantage of this, you have until midnight Monday 23 August.
It’s valid on both one-way and return flights. These range from exchanging 250 Avios for £5 off per person on a one-way or return flight, up to a maximum of 5,000 Avios to save £100 on a return flight.
To be eligible you must be an Executive Club Member with at least 250 Avios.
What do you need to do?
- Log in to your Executive Club account and search for flights.
- Look for your part payment options on the price page once you’ve selected your flights. You will see the options automatically on any eligible flight.
- Select the saving you’d like to make on your flights. The price of your flights will adjust automatically. If you didn’t log in at the start of your flight search, there’s another chance to do so now.
- Continue as usual to complete your booking.
Plenty of Terms
There are plenty of terms and conditions you will need to meet.
- You need to be a BA Executive Club Member
- You need a minimum of 250 or more Avios in your accounts
- Eligible Members must be logged into their Executive Club account at ba.com or call via a British Airways global engagement centre to participate in this offer. Executive Club Members can reduce the price of their flight by logging into their Executive Club account, selecting their flights and using their Avios part payment options at the price page. Savings are subject to change.
- This offer is available on bookings made between 00:00 (BST) Friday 20 August 2021 and 23:59 (BST) Monday 23 August 2021 (inclusive).
- The offer is available when booking any British Airways operated one-way or return flight, departing from the UK, in all cabins (Eligible Flight).
- The offer entitles Eligible Members booking Eligible Flights at ba.com, or via a British Airways global engagement centre, to receive a discount of £5 per person on a return flight in exchange for 250 Avios, a discount of £18 in exchange for 900 Avios, a discount of £32 in exchange for 1600 Avios, a discount of £56 in exchange for 2,800 Avios, a discount of £80 for 4,000 Avios or a maximum discount of £100 for 5,000 Avios. If a Member is booking a one-way flight, the discounts per person will be as follows: £5 discount for 250 Avios, £9 discount for 450 Avios, £16 discount for 800 Avios, £28 discount for 1,400 Avios, £40 discount for 2,000 Avios, or a maximum discount £50 for 2,500 Avios.
If you’ve got excess Avios, it could be time to shop
For those of you with excess Avios in your account could find this to be useful when booking tickets – least of all, paying less for flights is never a bad thing, when you can offset that against the cost against your miles.
