Emirates has finally set the date for its Tel Aviv flights. The magic date? 6th December 2021.

The move comes as the UAE and Israel continue to develop greater economic cooperation to drive growth across a range of sectors, in addition to boosting trade flows between both nations.
Emirates will operate a daily flight between Dubai and Tel Aviv. Timings are as follows
EK931 DEPART DXB 14:50 ARRIVE TLV 16:25 EK932 DEPART TLV 18:25 ARRIVE DXB 23:25 Commences 6th December 2021 Operates Daily Booked Equipment: Boeing 777-300ER (Three Class)
Emirates will use a Boeing 777-300ER aircraft on this route in a three-class configuration offering First Class Suites, Business Class lie-flat seats and Economy Class seating in the usual 3-4-3 format.
The flight timings to/from Tel Aviv will offer travellers access to major leisure destinations beyond Dubai, as well as to access major gateways across the Emirates network, as well as codeshares with FlyDubai.
As well as offering passenger capacity, the belly of the aircraft will be available via Emirates SkyCargo, offering 20 tonnes of cargo capacity between Dubai and Tel Aviv.

Adnan Kazim, Chief Commercial Officer, Emirates Airline said:
“Emirates is excited to announce Tel Aviv, one of the region’s key gateways, as its newest destination. With the start of services in just a few weeks, Emirates will provide more options for travellers to fly better to and from Tel Aviv via Dubai. We also look forward to welcoming more business and leisure travellers from Israel to Dubai, and onwards to other destinations on Emirates’ network.
He added:
“We would like to thank the UAE and Israeli authorities for their support, and we await the opportunity to serve Israel and open up more prospects for both countries to continue to build a strong relationship while growing business and expanding tourism in the near future.”
Late joining the party
Emirates is finally showing up to the party, after some delays. Currently, Etihad serves Abu Dhabi, whilst Arkia, El-Al, flyDubai and Israir currently serve Dubai International.
Interestingly, Emirates is choosing to start the service a little cautiously, using a Boeing 777-300ER on a single frequency a day.
Depending on how capacity and loads go, I suspect that could change rather quickly.
Check before you travel
As usual, it’s more than a good idea to check before you travel. The airline has published the latest travel requirements here.
The airline is also offering flexible booking policies, which have been extended to 31 May 2022.
