It’s Sunday again, so it must be time for some retro Airplane Art.
We’re going back to 2012 this week (as I’m in the process of rebuilding a few image libraries at the moment), so this week, we have an All Nippon Airways Boeing 777-200ER at Frankfurt Airport as it prepares for the return journey to Tokyo Haneda airport.
ANA has been reducing its Boeing 777-200ER fleet, with currently only eight listed in operational service. The airline also operates the Boeing 767-300ER, Boeing 777-300, Boeing 777-300ER, Boeing 787-8, Boeing 787-9, Boeing 787-10 and Airbus A380 on their regional and long haul routes.
This aircraft – JA717A joined the ANA fleet in August 2006. It has been parked since February 2021, pending further use, unlike a lot of its classmates, which have been withdrawn and scrapped.
More Airplane Art Next Week!
