More news from the Aircraft Interiors Expo show-floor this morning with Latécoère and FlightPath3D partnering to provide a 4K 3D Flight Map on Smart LiFi Monitor.
The FlightPath3D and Latécoère partnership announced today sets a new standard of Flight Map application for corporate jet aviation with the launch of Smart LiFi Monitor, which includes FlightPath3D’s 3D moving map.
The Smart LiFi monitor technology is designed to be an easy plug-and-play solution. It is a multi–technology smart 4K monitor that uses light to transmit data (using Li-Fi – a wireless technology that uses light to transmit data and position between devices).
It can be interfaced with any IFE provider or can work as a standalone device if needed. During a demonstration, the device was controlled via a web interface, with the device able to control the Smart LiFi monitor.
FlightPath3D’s moving map will be beautifully displayed on the Smart LiFi Monitor and will provide passengers with detailed visuals of the aircraft in 360–degree views with flight progress and destination data. This is backed with high fidelity satellite imagery which is broadcasted throughout bulkhead monitors and passenger devices.
As well as provisioning FlightPath3D’s products, the device can be used to cast content. It also has 2Tb of storage onboard, allowing content to be stored locally, as well as a video camera to allow integration with video conferencing services.

Offerings
The Smart LiFi Monitor will be offered as a 23″ and 42″ with OLED technology, whilst a 43″ version will be offered with an LCD Panel.
