Uber users will soon be able to collect Avios on every journey they take by car, coach or train booked via the Uber app.
To ride, to earn.
To achieve this, you will need to link your British Airways Executive Club and Uber accounts.
Members of the airline’s loyalty programme will be eligible to collect 1 Avios for every £1 spent on any ride, whether that be by car, coach or train, booked on the Uber app in the UK. These can then be put towards worldwide flights, upgrades and extras.
To celebrate the new partnership, Members who link their Executive Club and Uber accounts via the Uber app will receive 250 bonus Avios.
Users simply need to link their Executive Club and Uber accounts, by entering their details into the Uber app in the settings section. Of course, you’ll need a British Airways Executive Club membership to take advantage.
The Avios will arrive in your account after every Uber ride.

Going live
All British Airways Executive Club Members will be able to collect Avios through the Uber App by the end of the month (November).
Interesting to say the least.
It’s welcoming to see Uber be a partner with British Airways – although the devil is truly in the detail here, with you being able to earn on rides in the United Kingdom.
This will need some testing as it goes live, in terms of how long the points take to post – but those who use Uber even semi-regularly will appreciate the extra Avios ending up in their accounts.
