JetBlue is to add a daytime flight between New York JFK and London Heathrow.

The new flight, starting 25th March 2023, will offer a JetBlue service from John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) to London Heathrow Airport (LHR), giving travellers the all-new option to arrive in the United Kingdom the same day they depart the United States.
The new flight is made possible through an additional pair of slots obtained by JetBlue, allowing it to increase its presence at Heathrow.
The planned operation is as follows as per provided by JetBlue:
JFK – LHR Flight #1107 |
LHR – JFK Flight #2220 |
8:30 a.m. – 8:45 p.m. |
8:25 a.m. – 11:40 a.m. |

To support this, the airline will adjust service between New York-JFK and London Gatwick Airport (LGW), offering travellers one daily flight instead of two. In total JetBlue will maintain three daily flights between New York and London. The updated Gatwick operation is as follows:

Meanwhile, the Boston to London Heathrow/London Gatwick route is set, with timetables confirmed for the new season.

JetBlue is currently the only U.S. carrier to serve both Gatwick and Heathrow, offering customers on both sides of the Atlantic greater choice and convenience depending on where you need to arrive in the UK – be you want to be West of London (with onward connectivity options to the West and North) or at the South of London (allowing ease of access to Kent, Surry and Sussex).
As usual, JetBlue will offer its Mint Suites as a business-class product and its Core seats as its economy product. All seats aboard will offer on-demand entertainment on every seatback, free and fast Fly-Fi broadband internet, complimentary snacks and soft drinks.
Offering daytime choice
Daytime flights offer a chance to skip jetlag, allowing you to trade in the overnight flight, arriving in the evening and heading off to bed, refreshed for the day ahead. Such flights are offered by British Airways, American Airlines and United Airlines – and it is good to see such options now arriving from JetBlue too, with the airline offering a total of three flights a day to the London region from JFK, as well as two flights a day from Boston.
The downside for the airline is that one of their aircraft will have to spend the night at Heathrow as it awaits a turn-around the next day, which could add up in airline fees that need to be paid to the airport.
But for passengers, it opens further options when it comes to travel.
