Some breaking news – it seems that regional carrier – flyBe (the second incarnation of the carrier) has appeared to have collapsed and ceased operations.

The airline was formed in 2020 out of the remains of the original FlyBe (which was an early casualty of the pandemic), with the airline finally commencing services in April 2022.
At its peak, Flybe operated five De Havilland Dash8 Q400 aircraft in its fleet, serving mostly UK Domestic routes, along with a smattering of European routes, including regular services to Amsterdam and seasonal services to France.
These aircraft were configured in a single-class configuration, with 78 seats per aircraft available to paying passengers.
In the early morning of Saturday, the flyBe site changed from its usual self to this:
Finally, at 03:00, the formal notice was published on the flyBe site:
Along with a tweet published at 03:14 on the 28th of January.
On 28 Jan 23 David Pike & Mike Pink were appointed Joint Administrators of Flybe Limited. Flybe has now ceased trading. All Flybe flights from & to the UK are cancelled & will not be rescheduled. Next steps (if you’re affected)
If you are due to fly with Flybe today or in the future, please DO NOT TRAVEL TO THE AIRPORT unless you have arranged an alternative flight with another airline. Please note that Flybe is unfortunately not able to arrange alternative flights for passengers.
You will need to rebook your own onward journeys, as well as look to support from the UK Civil Aviation Authority website for further information www.caa.co.uk/news.
The airline advises if you have a Flybe booking sold by an intermediary (i.e. not directly with Flybe) that includes travel on a Flybe flight, please contact the relevant airline or booking/travel agent to confirm if there is any impact on your travel plans as the intermediary may be able to support you with alternative arrangements and provide further advice regarding any claim you may need to make.
And spare a thought for the staff
There have been a lot of people who were involved in both the set-up and start-up of this airline. Those people will be looking for jobs in a time of economic uncertainty, be their pilots, crew, maintenance or back office staff.
