So where are Lufthansa’s Dreamliner off to?
The airline plans to operate its 787-9 fleet to:
- Frankfurt to Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas, four flights a week
- Frankfurt to Montreal, Canada, ramping up to daily flights from the 1st of May
- Frankfurt to Denver, Colorado
- Frankfurt to Austin, Texas, three times a week
- Frankfurt to Detriot, Michigan from the 13th of February
Lufthansa also operates its Dreamliner to Newark, New Jersey daily too.
The state of the fleet
Currently, Lufthansa operates three Boeing 787-9s. Two additional ones will be delivered shortly to the airline.
According to Lufthansa their Boeing 787-9 offers passengers a much-improved travel experience with a quiet cabin and mood lighting.
The higher entrance area gives a pleasant feeling of more space and large windows offer the opportunity for better viewing or can be dimmed at the touch of a button. Business Class passengers enjoy improved seating with direct aisle access (an upgrade over the current seat used by the airline).
Check before you travel
As always, please check before you travel and when you book – especially if you’re flying an airline for a particular type of plane or product.
There’s nothing more disappointing than getting your hopes up for a new product to find an older aircraft that looks more than a little tired.
