The Vancouver and Dubai flights will be operated with Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft featuring three cabins of service for its customers to choose, including Signature Class with lie-flat seats, Premium Economy and Economy Class.

Flights have also been built to conveniently connect to and from destinations in Alberta, BC and the western via Air Canada’s hub at Vancouver International Airport.
Seats are available for sale now via the usual channels.
The move by Air Canada will complement the daily service between Toronto and Dubai, broadening its presence in fast-growing international markets.
Passengers can connect at Dubai International via codeshare services operated by Emirates for those who need to go beyond the sun of Dubai.

Mark Galardo, Senior Vice President, Network Planning and Revenue Management, at Air Canada, said
“We are extremely pleased to add the only non-stop service linking Vancouver and Dubai, two iconic and vibrant global destinations. Dubai is one of the top destinations worldwide renowned for its extraordinary landmarks, rich culture and entertainment.
Vancouver is a top cosmopolitan destination, and this new route offers additional ease to global visitors looking to experience BC’s spectacular natural beauty, range of outdoor activities and exciting adventures. In cooperation with our codeshare and frequent flyer partner Emirates, our Vancouver Dubai flights will connect to a multitude of destinations across the Middle East, Indian subcontinent and East Africa in Dubai, providing customers with choice and convenience while travelling for business or visiting friends and family,”
A rather long-haul route
With a block time of 15 hours on the way out and nearly 16 on the return leg, this will be one of Air Canada’s longest routes. One that you’ll need to budget comfort in for, no matter what class of travel you select.
And it is great to see airlines innovate with new routes, especially with codeshares applied that can make the travel experience more frictionless, rather than multiple tickets with different rules attached to them. It’s even better for those who live near Vancouver who prefer that single flight rather than changing at Toronto Pearson or in Europe.
But still – 15 hours in a tube is a long time…
