All is not well over at KLM CityHopper, where more of their Embraer E2 aircraft are being grounded.

KLM Cityhopper is consulting with Embraer and engine manufacturer Pratt & Whitney to seek a solution for these issues, which have no impact on flight safety.
The airline operates 15 Embraer E-195-E2 aircraft.
For now, it seems, services operated by KLM CityHopper will be subject to adjustment and changes in its summer timetable.
The adjustments will affect flights scheduled to depart several months from now, allowing passengers to be rebooked onto alternative flights well in advance, if necessary.
To support this, the airline has alternative capacity by retaining Embrarer E190s that were to be returned to lease companies. In addition, several wet lease agreements have also been signed to support the airline.
It’s going to be a fun summer
For passengers, it’s going to be a fun summer as they find their flights shifted around – and the joy of rebooking that follows with it.
Reliability continues to be a concern for airlines – with the engines being an issue enough to ground sections or entire fleets if something is wrong.
With 15 Embrer E195-E2s in the KLM CityHopper fleet currently (and three parked), it’s enough for the airline to call for re-enforcements and delay others from being returned to lessors.
Expect fun as the season develops.
