Another weekend of no Piccadilly Line Trains to Heathrow

11/08/2023 by Kevincm

Ah, it’s summer. This means it’s time for more engineering works on the Piccadilly Line connecting Heathrow to Central London.

This weekend, the Piccadilly Line line will be shut between Hammersmith/Acton Town and Heathrow.

Between 0045 and 0445 on Saturday 12th August there will be no service (night tube) between Hammersmith and Heathrow (all terminals).  Bus PL1 will operate to Hammersmith – Turnham Green – Acton Town – South Ealing – Northfields – Boston Manor – Osterley – Hounslow East – Hounslow Central – Hounslow West – Hatton Cross – Heathrow Central Bus Station (for Terminals 2 and 3) – Heathrow Terminal 5.

From Saturday 12th August, from 0445 and all day Sunday 13 August, no service between Acton Town and Heathrow (all terminals). Replacement buses will run;

  • PL1: Acton Town – South Ealing – Northfields – Boston Manor – Osterley – Hounslow East – Hounslow Central – Hounslow West – Hatton Cross – Heathrow Central Bus Station (for Terminals 2 and 3) – Heathrow Terminal 5 (station served Night Tube hours only)
  • Service PL3: Limited service for local journeys only: Hammersmith – Heathrow Central Bus Station (for Terminals 2 and 3)

If you need to get to or from Heathrow, you have two alternatives, The Heathrow Express from Paddington (£25 single) or The Elizabeth Line (£13.30 Single).

As usual, check before you travel. Transport for London has its tool updated for the weekend which you can find at https://tfl.gov.uk/tube-dlr-overground/status/?startdate=2023-08-12&endDate=2023-08-13T23:59:59&dateTypeSelect=This+weekend#line-lul-piccadilly.

As usual, when there are changes, allow extra time for your journey.
