For those of you who fly Emirates Business class, there’s going to be something new to look out for – new loungewear.
Emirates is launching an innovatively designed, complimentary inflight loungewear set for Business Class customers including a relaxed cowl neck top and drawstring pants, comfortable slippers, and a matching eye mask.
The loungewear is designed to be the ideal ‘flight fit’ – perfect for sleeping in, but also suitable for wearing whilst having a drink at the A380 onboard lounge, or as a casual outfit that takes you from aircraft to arrivals.
Although in that duck-egg blue, you’ll stand out a mile in an airport arrivals area.
According to the airline, the Business Class Loungewear is composed of a super soft premium modal material, which customers find lightweight and breathable. The fabric is in a relaxing shade of light blue, available in two sizes. It is presented in a complementary drawstring pouch with each set containing an adjustable loungewear top, pants, warm slippers, and an eye mask.
What goodies do I get?
Depending on the length of the flight will depend on what you will be offered. The airline gives two examples;
- On flights that have a duration of 2 hours and 30 minutes, customers will receive complimentary slippers and eye mask sets
- On flights of 9 hours or more, Business Class customers will receive the full set with loungewear top and pants, slippers and eye mask
Comfort is important in the sky
In the past, I’ve used pyjama tops – but also, I’ve stuck to things like lightweight t-shirts or polo shirts when flying – mainly to be comfortable. Yes, some dream of the past where suits were de-rigour, or the flowing dresses that can crease the moment you breathe on it.
Let alone the possible staining when you decide to dine in the sky. And if you enjoy it – all the power to you.
Keeping yourself comfortable allows you to rest a lot easier in flight, and thus be more refreshed at the other end.
And it’s not as if you can’t pop in the toilet to change when you get to your destination.
Amenities like these comfort kits – especially on the longer haul segments – become more important as the desire for comfort in the skies takes precedence.
