24/04/2024 by Kevincm

After the successful relaunch of A380 services to New York JFK, Etihad is preparing to expand its A380 operations to Paris, France.

The A380 will return to the Abu Dhabi – Paris CDG route from 1st November 2024. The French capital becomes the third major city to enjoy the Etihad A380 experience after London and New York.

As usual, Etihad will offer multiple classes of service, from Economy Class (337), extra space Economy Class (68, Business Class Studios on the upper deck (70), First Class apartments (9) and The Residence for those who want a three-room suite in the sky.

Antonoaldo Neves, Chief Executive Officer, Etihad Airways, said: “

As a city celebrated for its style and ambiance, Paris is the perfect destination for our iconic A380 aircraft. This enhancement reflects our commitment to delivering award-winning comfort and service across all cabin classes.

“The introduction of the A380 on the Abu Dhabi – Paris route enriches both leisure and corporate travel. It underscores Etihad’s commitment to facilitating business connections and travel to Abu Dhabi and beyond. Our state-of-the-art cabins and bespoke amenities ensure that business travellers can work, relax, and arrive refreshed. Features like The Lobby lounge and Business Studios create an ideal environment for productivity and comfort. By enhancing the travel experience with greater connectivity and luxury, we make business trips more accessible and enjoyable, connecting travelers to Abu Dhabi’s dynamic economy and rich cultural landscape with the premium service Etihad is known for.”

The A380 still brings in  the wow

The Airbus A380 still has the ability to make people stop, look and watch it as it taxis or fly by – be it through its sheer presence.

It also happens to be good at moving a lot of people aboard an aircraft – making it good for capacity-constrained airports – like Paris, London Heathrow and New York JFK.

Whilst the fleet may never stretch as far as it did pre-pandemic, it’s good to see further destinations added back into the Etihad A380 network map, allowing passengers to experience some different inflight experiences.
