Last Week at Economy Class and Beyond (16th June)

16/06/2024 by Kevincm

We’ve made it to  Father’s Day and nearly the halfway point of the year. But it’s still Saturday, so it must be time for Last Week at Economy Class and Beyond

a street with buildings and people walking
Saturday Night. New Street, Birmingham

It’s been a little quiet, hasn’t it?

Since AIX, I’ve been under floors, on floors, over floors and desks getting a new office commissioned and running. Well, it’s been week one of the office move-in and things have been busy as I’ve put months of planning into real-life action.

It has consumed hours, days and weeks, but I’ve had a lot of success (thanks to suppliers finally playing ball) and the help of other people to get a show on the road  – to the point that I’ve got carpet in my comms room. Perfect for a lie-down panic during office hours.

That and I’ve had a 48-hour bug that’s lasted well into most of the week which has left me… whats the nicest way I can put it? 13 hours of sleep.

As such, I’ve focused on that, rather than sharpening my writing prowess this week. Hopefully, things might switch into a much more normal state next week.

Don’t laugh at the back. I see you.

I had time to get one snapshot out. I’m amazed.

Next Week

I’ve got some more snapshots almost ready to emerge from hibernation (the trip report isn’t in too shabby a state). I’ve also got some deep dives from AIX which have been written to the point where they are more than a headline.

Trust me – its taken a lot this year.

On top of that, we’ll our usual mix of news when I get more than 10 minutes to myself to edit and make it pretty.

Until then, Happy Landings!
