For those wanting to escape the cold confines of Stockholm, there’s good news from Norse Atlantic Airways who are planning to start a service to Bangkok.
The new route will start on 29 October 2025. It will operate between Stockholm Arlanda and Bangkok Suvarnabhumi twice weekly on Wednesdays and Sundays.
As usual, passengers will fly on a Norse Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner. The front of the aircraft features the airline’s Premium cabin, with a 43” seat pitch and 12” recline in a 2-3-2 configuration, whilst it is the classic 3-3-3 in a 31″ seat pitch configuration down the back in economy.
Additionally, all Economy light bookings now include a 10kg carry-on bag in addition to the personal under-seat item, providing even more value for our passengers. This applies to bookings made directly on flynorse.com. Different rules may apply for bookings made via a third party.
Lead-in prices have been announced, starting from 2,550 SEK.

Norse will play an important role in connecting Sweden to Thailand. Swedavia’s main goal is to increase the connectivity, and this addition to the airports overall offer further facilitates for people to meet, whether it is for business, leisure or to visit family and friends”
Winter Warmth… and lower charges
With Sweden moving to abolish its Air Passenger Duty, it seems that airlines are taking more of an interest in serving, with Norse now turning up to the party. However, Norse Atlantic will not have its own way, with the Stockhokn-Bangkok route served by Thai Airways International, with the Sweden/Thai route being one of the busiest international routes that operate.
An interesting time to enter the market. Let’s hope it’s sustainable in the longer term.
