A new direct route is planned to commence in Copenhagen and Seoul, with it due to start on the 12th of September, 2025.
The route launch will mark Scandinavia and Korea’s first regular direct service.
The route will operate four times weekly during the summer season and three times weekly in winter. The planned operation (provided by SAS) is shown below.
Flights are scheduled with evening departures, optimising connectivity within Europe and maximizing travellers’ time at their destination. The route will be operated by an Airbus A350, carrying 300 passengers.
In turn, the arrival times at Seoul Incheon should allow onward connectivity by Korean Air and other regional SkyTeam partners if needed.
The route is being introduced due to the growing demand from travellers in Korea wanting to visit Scandinavia. It will continue to help Copenhagen grow as a hub for SAS, whilst allowing passengers to connect onwards to different destinations in Europe.

A busy 2025
With the launch of Seattle in May 2025, SAS will offer 14 intercontinental destinations from Copenhagen, connecting to over 100 destinations across Europe. For the SkyTeam member, it will continue to be about getting high-revenue passengers on seats, and onto destinations.
It marks the third destination that SAS is going to in Asia, with the airline operating services to Toyko (Japan) and Bangkok (Thailand).
A third link, especially one that taps into the Korean Air network could be very valuable.
