Aer Lingus is updating its amenities for its passengers, with some improvements both in its business and economy class cabins.
In Business Class
Dining options will change with the introduction of a new seasonal spring menu. On westbound flights, the new Business Class menu includes smoked salmon with crisp samphire in a citrusy dressing, and skin-on thyme and parsley chicken supreme. Dessert options include a lemon cream mousse dome or a local Irish cheeseboard. A new light bite option will appear on the menu, with crispy Korean BBQ popcorn chicken on a salad of Asian black rice i
The airline is also introducing new Amenity Kits which include products from natural skincare brand Jo Browne Ireland, made using eco-friendly materials. The pen and toothbrush incorporate wheat straw, while the earplugs and dental kit pouches are made from plant-based and biodegradable materials. The kit also includes Jo Browne’s Signature Blend Lip Balm and Hydrating Moisturiser, all packaged in 100% sugarcane tubes. A 3D-molded eye mask and luxurious socks are included in the kit.
In Economy Class
For those in the Aer Lingus economy cabin, there are some changes to service. Meals and snacks will remain complimentary, however, it seems that alcohol is now included on the menu, with a choice of Vinca organic red or white wine, beer, soft drink or juice with your meal – following other oneworld and IAG members’ service patterns across the Atlantic.
Across all cabins, Disney+ content will be available through the seat-back entertainment systems to provide something different to the usual content load-out, with over 1,300 pieces of content loaded on their In-Flight Entertainment system

Good… for all classes
It’s common to see that airline improve their premium offerings – but it is much more welcoming to see improvements in the the economy cabin, where sometimes it feels that airlines forget they have passengers.
Improving products down the back also have a trickle effect, and can improve both retention, as well as that customer considering a premium ticket if its in their sphere – or at least consider that airline as the first option when they travel next.
It might be some plastic bottles of wine or a few cans of beer – but it can make a difference to a passenger’s opinion and how they remember that flight
