KLM is looking for the sun this upcoming winter, with the airline heading off to Bridgetown, Barbados, in the Caribbean.
The airline is planning to offer a seasonal route between Amsterdam Schiphol and Bridgtown. The service will then continue to Georgetown, Guyana.
KLM plans to operate the following timetable:
KL783 DEPART AMS 09:35 ARRIVE BGI 13:35 DEPART BGI 15:05 ARRIVE GEO 16:05 KL783 DEPART GEO 18:00 ARRIVE AMS 08:00 Operates 25th October 2025 to 26th March 2026 Operates Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays Booked Equipment: KLM Boeing 787-9
KLM will operate this route with a Boeing 787-9. This aircraft offers 30 seats in World Business Class, 21 seats in Premium Comfort Class, and 224 seats in Economy Class
For KLM, Barbados is one of the largest underserved markets in the Caribbean from the Netherlands, providing travellers with a sunny destination during the winter months.
With this flight combination, KLM is catering to the growing demand for both tourist and business destinations in the Caribbean.
A winter return
KLM previously operated flights to Bridgetown in the winter seasons of 2021 and 2022. After a pweriod of three years, it seems the airline wishes to retrun, given that there is a market there.
More importantly for KLM, it seems that no other airline operating from Schiphol is operating that route. Other airlines that connect Bridgetown with Europe include (with either seasonal or all year coverage) include Aer Lingus (from Manchester), British Airways and Virgin Atlantic (from Hethrow), Discover Airlines (from Frankfurt) and TUI Airways (various UK airports).
Even with a limited operation, KLM should be able to capture some market share on this route.
