Another London Underground Strike in play (2nd and 4th June)

01/06/2026 by Kevincm Leave a Comment

There’s nothing like the RMT taking its drivers out on strike, with London Underground drivers set to walk out on both the 2nd and 4th of June.

According to Transport for London, strikes will run on:

  • Tuesday 2 June from 00:01 to 23:59
  • Thursday 4 June from 00:01 to 23:59

Impact on London Underground Services

During the strike action, no service is expected on the Circle line, the Piccadilly line, the Metropolitan line between Baker Street and Aldgate, and the Central line between White City and Liverpool Street.

TfL expect to run other services. However, there will be disruptions to your journey.

As such, service levels will vary across the Tube network, with services starting late and finishing early. There will be limited services before 06:30 on both days, with passengers asked to complete their journeys before 21:00 on both days.

Normal service is expected on Wednesday, 3 June and Friday, 5 June.

The Elizabeth line, Docklands Light Railway, London Overground, Buses and Trams will continue to run as normal but are likely to be busy.

Airport Impact

If you’re travelling to or from London Heathrow, the Piccadilly Line will be closed. You will need to use either the Heathrow Express or the Elizabeth Line to complete your journey.

If you’re travelling to Gatwick, Stansted or Luton, although these are not served directly by London Underground lines, you may need to change onto them if you are arriving or departing Central London.

What can you do?

If you have to travel in London on the strike days, it’s going to be essential to plan ahead using the TfL tools and check before you travel.

And leave plenty of time for your journey. Strike days are never a fun day to travel.
