Taiwanese carrier EVA Air will begin a new nonstop service connecting the cities of Taipei and Delhi, starting on 1st December.

The airline will launch a five-times-a-week service between the two cities. Planned operations are:
BR367 DEPART TPE 11:00 ARRIVE DEL 15:35 BR368 DEPART DEL 19:55 ARRIVE TPE 04:20+1 Commences 1st December 2026 Operates in both directions on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. Booked Equipment: Airbus A330
This will use a 309-seater Airbus A330-300, with 30 business class seats in a 2-2-2 setup and 279 Economy seats in the usual 2-4-2 layout.
EVA Air is marketing this service not only to locals, but also to travellers who connect through other Asian gateways. Through EVA Air’s partnership with Star Alliance member Air India, passengers can conveniently connect beyond Delhi to major Indian cities. At the same time, Indian travellers can connect via Taipei to EVA Air’s North American network, supporting growing demand from business travellers, students, researchers, and visiting friends and relatives.
Eligible Indian nationals travelling to the United States or Canada may also benefit from Taiwan’s conditional visa-waiver transit program, making short stopovers in Taiwan easier.

New options between India and Taiwan
This will be the first route between the two countries, providing a direct link between Taipei and Delhi, connecting two growing markets. Currently, passengers have to go via another country before reaching their destination – so the direct link will be welcome.
For passengers using the connecting hop, it will provide new options and connectivity – be it from Asia or North America via the Pacific routes.
We’ll have to see if fellow carriers STARLUX and China Airlines will sniff around what EVA Air has done… and see if they respond with new route launches.
