Gatwick Airport set to reopen the South Terminal

In a step signifying the return of travel. Gatwick Airport is preparing to reopen its South Terminal. The South Terminal was mothballed in June 2020 due to the downturn in traffic. UK to re-impose pre-arrivals testing from TUESDAY 7TH DECEMBER

The UK is to adjust the entry criteria to the country, with testing to be required. From Tuesday 7th December you will require, evidence of a negative lateral flow or PCR test before you travel to the United Kingdom.
