09/10/2012 by Kevincm

a long shot of a building

Welcome to a special GhettoIFE Trip Report where I don't actually leave the country, but I DO go to an airport... and get beyond security without a boarding pass. When we go to an airport, most of us see the front line things - the terminal, the check in desks, security, the apron, luggage belts and passport control. But what goes on behind the scenes? Why is it that … [Read more...]

Well... that's it from the draw. 154 entries and so many interesting stories - thank you all so much for entering. With a draw like this I do have to exercise some care (as there were some duplicate IP's in the entries, and a couple of non relevant entries. Those where put into to the excluded pile (only a few thankfully). I then shanghaied my co-worker in the office to … [Read more...]

And nothing says "I love you my readers" than running a prize draw. And as usual, it's something you won't see every day. Well two things. I've got the following: 1st Draw … [Read more...]

05/10/2012 by Kevincm

In what should be no surprise to ... well - anyone, Kingfisher Airlines failed to take to the air today. The airline is hoping to resume flights next week. A mixture of staff confrontations, strike action and management locking out the airline hasn't helped things - with Kingfisher grounded since Sunday. The airline is in the process of trying to reach a settlement … [Read more...]

If you're honestly surprised... well... this is Wizz Air. The €10 charge is to "encourage" Wizz Air's passengers to take small bags of up to 42cm x 32cm x 25cm. Anything … [Read more...]
