Reminder: Fare sales ending soon

24/09/2012 by Kevincm

Just a quick reminder that a lot of the current economy class/premium economy class fare sales are coming to an end shortly. There seems to be a fair amount of availability on the Trans-Atlantic runs with SkyTeam, Oneworld and Star Alliance, saving around £50-£75 per ticket (Some London to Chicago fares are as low as £437) Most sales end at 23:59 25th September (although … [Read more...]

23/09/2012 by Kevincm

This week taxing on a sunny spring day is a United Express CRJ-200 operated by Skywest (with some very dodgy paint flaking at the top of the fuselage) at Chicago O'Hare International Airport. The image is clickable if you want to see a larger version – and yes you can keep them for your … [Read more...]

21/09/2012 by Kevincm

It seems that Arik Air is having a tough time of it at the moment, with the airline forced to suspend domestic operations from what it calls. "the unwarranted actions of the Ministry of Aviation and the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) to disrupt our domestic operations and our customers". It seems there is a dispute over payments between the FAAN and Arik Air, … [Read more...]

Someone comes up with a hell of a good argument with the TSA

20/09/2012 by Kevincm

I think most of us here aren't fans of the Transportation Security Administration (from my viewpoint, I've had some of my luggage luggage destroyed by them and repaired with TSA sealing tape more than once) Now some of us deal with them with sarcasm, entertainment, anger, disgust, "meh" and other methods (for example stripping at a checkpoint), but Matthew over at Live and … [Read more...]

19/09/2012 by Kevincm

One place you'd never expect to see the orange tailfins of EasyJet is London Heathrow airport. Well, if EasyJet wins some slots at Heathrow, this could well happen. EasyJet is competing with for some of the remedy slots that International Airlines Group has had to give up when they purchased BMI.
