LionAir Flight JT904 from Bandung to Denpasar (Bali/Indonesia) today landed short of the runway at Denpasar, ending up in the ocean about short of runway 09. Indonesia's Lion Air is performing another expansion. - but instead of turning to Boeing like it has done in the past, it is now turning to Airbus. Well it seems Lion Air is on the march, with another order lodged at Boeing's front door at the Singapore Air Show. This is one I've been trying to get my head round since I first read it on Flight earlier. And that is Lion Air of Indonesia has ordered 29 Boeing 737-900ER's and 201 737-MAX's (being the second operator confirmed to operate the new 737-MAX series, with options for another 150 aircraft.
