7L: AeroCaribbean Crash – No Survivors

With the Qantas A380 incident yesterday being a “sucesseful outcome” with everyone on board making it down safely, a smaller incident happened yesterday, but will all occupants lost.

An AeroCaribbean ATR72-200 operating between Santiago de Cuba to Havana crashed near in mountains near the town of Guasimal in Santi Spiritus province..

No cause has been idenfied for the reason of the loss, although the pilot reported an emergency before contact was lost

All aboard – 68 souls – were lost.  An investigation has begun to identify what happened.
