BA: BA vs Unite – Hell cools slightly – Strike Annoucment postponed.

15/04/2011 by Kevincm

In signs that hell will eventually freeze, BA and Unite have been having exploritary talks that have been described as “optimistic”, the deadline for a strike announcement has been delayed until May 13 2011.

Both sides seem to be talking. Which seems to be good news.

For travellers, this means the Long Easter Break, The Royal Wedding and the May Day Bank Holiday will be unaffected by disgruntled Unite workers going on strike.

I’m ignoring some of the practicalities – like the legal threats and just hoping both sides see a bit more sense… and SORT IT.
