Emirates to move Dubai-London to all A380 operations forward

Emirates seem to have changed their plans to shift the Dubai to London route, with a move forward.

  • EK007/EK008 will move forward as planned from the 28th October 2012
  • EK028/EK030 which was due to switch to A380 operations on 1st February 2013 will now instead switch on the 10th December 2012

The new timetable from 10th December is as follows:

Dubai – London Heathrow

EK007 DEPART DXB 03:10 ARRIVE LHR 07:10
EK001 DEPART DXB 07:45 ARRIVE LHR 11:35
EK029 DEPART DXB 09:40 ARRIVE LHR 13:35
EK003 DEPART DXB 14:30 ARRIVE LHR 18:15
EK005 DEPART DXB 16:30 ARRIVE LHR 20:15

Operates Daily from 10/12/2012
Booked Equipment: Airbus A380, 517 Seat configuration

London Heathrow to Dubai

EK008 DEPART LHR 09:10 ARRIVE DXB 20:00
EK002 DEPART LHR 13:35 ARRIVE DXB 00:35+1
EK030 DEPART LHR 16:30 ARRIVE DXB 03:15+1
EK004 DEPART LHR 20:15 ARRIVE DXB 07:00+1
EK006 DEPART LHR 22:00 ARRIVE DXB 08:45+1

Operates Daily from 10/12/2012
Booked Equipment: Airbus A380, 517 Seat configuration

As stated in the booked equipment notes, this service will be operated by Emriates A380 using the 517 seat version of the plane, configured in:

  • First Class – 14 Suites
  • Business Class – 76 Seats
  • Economy Class – 427 seats

And extruding those numbers reveals that Emirates will offer a 2585 seats a day on one airline alone between London and Dubai.

Expect shock-waves from this… if anyone has the will to respond….
