In some good news for the Nigerian aviation industry, Arik Air and FAAN have been resolved, with domestic services to resume after they were halted on Thursday.
Services re-commenced on Sunday, with Arik Air’s MD Chris Ndulue saying
“We are happy to resume operations”.
He also stated that Arik Air has resolved ‘‘all issues’’ it had.
The Nigerian Government responded that all complaints by Arik Air and the aviation ministry had been resolved.
“We use this opportunity to appeal to both parties to eschew every provocation that may have arisen as a result of this unfortunate misunderstanding.”
Nigeria’s aviation industry hasn’t been rosy with Air Nigeria who suspended operation this month and a Dana Air MD-80 crashing in June – a little bit of stability for the airline will be helpful for an airline that has carried over 1.5 million passengers in 2012 to 20 domestic, regional and long-haul destinations.
Lets hope things continue to be stable for Arik Air.
