Etihad and KLM co-operation is increasing over the summer timetable with more routes having KL and EY flight codes added.
The codeshares will be applied in two tranches with the first set going live from 31st March 2013
KLM codes on Etihad operated flights:
Abu Dhabi – Muscat
Abu Dhabi – Singapore – Brisbane
Etihad codes on KLM operated flights:
Amsterdam – Aberdeen
Amsterdam – Birmingham
Amsterdam – Edinburgh
Amsterdam – Glasgow
Amsterdam – Helsinki
The following codeshares will go live from 15th May 2013
KLM codes on Etihad operated flights:
Abu Dhabi – Amsterdam
Abu Dhabi – Seychelles
Codeshares are a fact of aviation life these days when flying, and its good to know who you’re flying with and where. Still, it adds more options to where you need to go in the world.
So will I be able to redeem delta sky miles for a code sharing flight to Seychelles on Etihad?
Good stuff. Who thinks Etihad will every join SkyTeam?
My thought is that Etihad could wind up leading SkyTeam… and end up calling it the Etihad Alliance….
