The Biman DC-10s were meant to have stopped flying, and fallen back to reserve flights… but it seems there’s a lot of life yet.
Firstly, the DC10 will be flying between Dhaka and Hong Kong every Tuesday until 14th January
BG078 DEPART DAC 13:00 ARRIVE HKG 1900HKG D10 2 BG079 DEPART HKG 20:30 ARRIVE DAC 2230DAC D10 2 Booked Equipment: McDonald Douglas DC10 Operates Tuesdays Operates until 14th January 2014
Meanwhile, the DC10 will also be deployed between Dhaka and Kuwait three times a week:
Dhaka – Kuwait BG043 DEPART DAC 20:55 ARRIVE KWI 00:55+1 BG044 DEPART KWI 01:45 ARRIVE DAC 09:30 Tuesday and Thursday BG044 DEPART KWI 01:45 ARRIVE CGP 0930, DEPART CGP 10:30 ARRIVE DAC 11:10 Monday Only. BG043 Operates Monday, Wednesday and Sunday BG044 Operates direct on Tuesday and Thursday BG044 Operates via Chittagong on Monday
Operates until 30th January 2014 Booked Equipment: McDonald Douglas DC10
This being Biman, and also one of the last commercially operating passenger DC-10s in service, things can (and probably) will change. A chance for those aviation geeks to get their last flights in.
Biman are still talking about running a thank-you flight at http://www.biman-airlines.com/about/news?id=46e17663-312b-46ba-93d6-3d7e508f36b8, with my commentary at http://economyclassandbeyond.boardingarea.com/2013/11/28/biman-bangladesh-to-withdraw-dc-10-with-a-special-send-off/.
Still – one last chance…
