Emirates to go to the Windy City.

24/02/2014 by Kevincm

Emirates continues to expand its network wide and far, this time adding one of my favourite cities in the world – Chicago – to its network.

The route begins on the 5th August, with timings of the route are as follows:

EK235 DEPART DXB 09:45 ARRIVE ORD 15:25
EK236 DEPART ORD 20:35 ARRIVE DXB 19:10+1

Commences 5th August 2014
Booked to operate Daily
Booked Equipment: Boeing 777-200LR

Emirates configure their Boeing 777-200LR as a three class service, made up of:

– 8 First Class Suites in 1-2-1 configuration
– 42 Business Class Seats/Beds in 2-3-2 configuration
– 216 Economy seats in 3-4-3 configuration

Sadly for Lucky, there’s no shower aboard this plane 😉

A total of 266 seats on this plane, with a possible 1862 seats a week between the two cities on a direct route.

Emirates join Qatar Airways (operating to Doha) and Etihad (operating to Abu Dhabi), with all three major Persian Gulf carriers with a presence at Chicago O’Hare International from August.

Bookings are open for those who need to take advantage of this route, and prefer not flying to Toronto, New York or other Emirates US departure points…
