Cathay Pacific adds Dusseldorf to its network

05/02/2015 by Kevincm

Cathay Pacific continues to build its European network – with a new destination in Germany. That destination is Düsseldorf.

The Hong Kong based airline will operate four flights a week to Düsseldorf, based on the following proposed timetable from Cathay Pacific, to commence from the 1st September.

CX375 DEPART HKG 00:50 ARRIVE DUS 07:15
CX376 DEPART DUS 13:20 ARRIVE HKG 06:35+1

Commences 1st September 2015 (subject to clearance)
CX375/CX376 operates Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays
Booked Equipment: Boeing 777-300ER, Four Class Plane
Data: Cathay Pacific

Cathay Pacific will be using a four class plane on this route (coded as 77H), with the following seats installed:

  • 6 First Class Suites
  • 53 Business Class Flat bed seats
  • 38 Premium Economy Seats
  • 182 Economy Seats

Lead in prices from Dusseldoft have been loaded, with fares starting from €803 in economy, €1,513 in Premium Economy based on a 7 day trip:

As well as planning to serve Düsseldorf, Cathay Pacific operates flights Frankfurt in Germany.

Flights sadly are not listing as an option on British Airways to redeem via Avios (although I had this same trouble finding seats on the Manchester to Hong Kong service – they tend to appear after the route has started), but could work out as a reasonable value if you have to position in.

Connections will be well met at both ends, with Düsseldorf airport being a hub for Air Berlin, and Hong Kong ideally placed for connections to the Far East and beyond with Cathay Pacific.

It’s a nice fill in flight, and hopefully will grow into a daily service providing more useful connections in the oneworld network – without resorting to heading to Frankfurt, Zurich, Paris or London to catch a Cathay Pacific flight.
