There are a range of decent carry ons for the Aviation Geek out there. My bag of choice (as most of you know) is a Pan American Message Bag:
Why yes. It’s a Pan Am Original Messenger Bag – http://www.panam.com/shop/pan-am-bags/pan-am-messenger-1.html
This bag has attracted more than its fair share of attention when I’ve been travelling – least of all I’ve been stopped at photography shows, out and about, at airports (where a lot of AA staff have been jealous). It’s also pretty practical when I need to go out to work as it holds a load of stuff. In my case, my laptop, a few lenses and other stuff I pick up along the way.
I do have an Aer Lingus bag… but it’s truly on its last legs which is my day to day baggie.
Considering it’s been in daily use since my trip to Denver in 2011….
This one doesn’t get the attention it deserves… which is a shame. It’s a reasonable enough bag to cart my shopping around. Or laptop. Or whatever I have to hand.
But whilst I use my usual Etnies bag to cart myself around the world with (mainly due to how its built), which has been through everything for the past years, I’m looking for something a little more fun and geekyer.
The standard travel bag – my Etnies Transport bag
So what is there on the market? There’s this classic:
I could go for something “conventional”… but there is one bag that has screamed “BUY ME”
Is this not the cutest rucksack going?
Whaddya mean no? You have no taste… stick with your boring Rimowas and Tumis then…
Baggage is very much a personal taste… and sometimes its nice to mix it up from the nylon bags of boredom and the leather bags that show a little too much.
The KLM bag… is just that. It’s silly, and no doubt raise eyebrows when you’re at an airport…
