British Airways adds another route to California with the announcement of a new route between London Heathrow and San Jose.
So apparently, British Airways do know the way to San Jose.
The route will be commence in May 2016, and will utilise one of British Airways upcoming four class Boeing 787-9 aircraft.

Currently, British Airways are awaiting delivery of its first Boeing 787-9 aircraft.
They will operate the Heathrow to San Jose route as follows:

The route connects London to the Silicon Valley area, with British Airways will be the only European carrier operating between these two airports.
With the four class service being deployed, there should be something for everyone – with:
- 8 Seats in First (first class)
- 42 in Club World (business class)
- 39 in World Traveller Plus (premium economy)
- 127 in World Traveller (economy)
British Airways currently operates from London to San Francisco, San Diego and Los Angeles, with San Jose being the fourth destination in the region.
For those who like direct flights – this should fit your need between the technology hubs of Reading (where some IT firms base their UK headquarters) and Silicon Valley.
