With the ever increasing drive to push more passengers through its Dubai hub, Emirates will be adding a third daily service between Dubai and Munich.
Emirates Boeing 777-300ER landing at Birmingham Airport – Image, Economy Class and Beyond.
The third daily service will be operated with a Boeing 777-300ER (compared to the other services which are operated with Airbus A380 aircraft.
The service will add an additional night-time/early morning departure from Dubai, and an morning return from Munich.
The combined timetable looks like this:
Dubai to Munich
EK053 DEPART DXB 03:20 ARRIVE MUC 07:10 Boeing 777-300ER EK049 DEPART DXB 08:45 ARRIVE MUC 12:35 Airbus A380 EK051 DEPART DXB 16:00 ARRIVE MUC 19:40 Airbus A380 EK053 Commences 1st February 2016 Booked Equipment at listed Operates Daily.
Munich to Dubai
EK054 DEPART MUC 10:10 ARRIVE DXB 19:10 Boeing 777-300ER EK050 DEPART MUC 14:30 ARRIVE DXB 23:25 Airbus A380 EK052 DEPART MUC 21:30 ARRIVE DXB 06:30+1 Airbus A380 EK054 Commences 1st February 2016 Booked Equipment at listed Operates Daily. Data: Airlineroute
The timings should be good for those who wish to meet the early evening bank of departures from Dubai – or for those who don’t want to hang around Dubai Airport.
The choice of equipment is actually interesting as Emirates will be choosing to deploy a 777-300ER to the route. Emirates operate a similar setup on its Dubai-Frankfurt operation too.
Of course, if performance on these routes meets Emirates expectations – expect another A380 turn up on the Dubai-Munich run…
