Hot off having 25% off for couples, Iberia is now introducing 40% off redemptions on certain routes
Now, before you too get excited with 50 routes up for grabs, there’s mostly European Routes, with a smattering of Long Haul routes to South America.
Prices displayed are one way, and include the following routes:
Iberia Mainline
Band 1: From 2,700 Avios one-way
Between Madrid and Oviedo, Algiers, Casablanca, Geneva or Oran
Between Madrid and London(LHR) from 3,900 Avios one-way.
Band 2: From 4,500 Avios one-way.

Exclusions:

- Blackout dates on Air Nostrum: 26/02/16-01/03/16 (Balearics route only), 18/03/16-28/03/16 and 28/04/16-02/05/16.
- Not valid for flights flights coded IB5XXX or IB7XXX
- Does not include fees or surcharges.
This going be a fun one to redeem against – mainly to find blue ticket style redemptions (akin to Value Rewards or Low cost rewards).
Obviously, taxes and surcharges are excluded too – which are lower than British Airways – but this is something you’ll need to factor in.
Thankfully, you can convert Avios between British Airways, Iberia Plus and the Avios Programme freely (providing you have an active Iberia Account – there needs to be some activity posted on the account to activate it).
It’s a reasonable redemption offer for those of you who want to offload Avios at a lower cost than normal… providing you can find seats.
And that looks tougher than it looks…
