Time for the last snapshot in the current series – this time looking at British Airways 4465 between Dublin and London City Airport.
Boarding
Boarding was delayed due to the late inbound aircraft (meaning more lounge time). Thankfully being at the 300 gates – boarding was via jetbridge.
Although it seems British Airways is polishing silver at its out stations…
The Plane
The chariot to take me to City Airport was an Embraer E170SR, with G-LCYD doing the honours.
Seating
The seating is typical Embraer seating, in a 2-2 across formation in both Club Europe and EuroTraveller
These aren’t bad seats by any stretch – those of you who tune in regularly know of my preference of E-Jets series over the completing Bombardier CRJ Series.
Legroom was more than acceptable for this one and a bit hour hop to London.
Cabin is a standard Embraer cabin.
Food and Drink
Complimentary food and drink were offered aboard British Airways 4465 to London City Airport – namely drink and a snack. When British Airways start charging for food, I’d wager this is about £3 worth of food.
Views
Whilst the journey was a different route to the normal route – rather than crossing the Irish Sea, over to Liverpool, across to Manchester and down, we were routed to fly over Ireland, cross over South Wales, past London and into Kent, before turning for London City Airport.
Climbing out
The City of Dublin
Tracking the Irish Coast
Over London
Over Docklands.
