One of the things I get shouted at in my office (amongst many things I get shouted at) is that I must take my annual leave holiday entitlement each year.
For those the USA, in some places not taking leave or holiday appears to be a serious thing – with 40% of workers not taking all their time off in 2015.
And that’s quite worrying – a person needs time to wind down and relax.
JetBlue Vacations has released a series of items that remind you of the joy of work. Recognising that Americans workers are working more and taking less holidays, the airline thought what modern souvenirs would look like without the vacation.
And thus here are the results – for example, mugs coated with wonderful modern office sayings…
to hats…
to candles (because everyone needs more candles in their lives)
… and even Snow globes (although getting them through airport security is an art in itself)
Looking at some of the products, trust me – it’s enough remind yourself to get the hell out of the office and on a plane to anywhere.
And these items look perfect in an office environment.
Yes. They do plates, waterbottles, and statues. It’s like going on holiday… but remaining in the office in a never-ending hamster-wheel – Images, Jetblue.
And even in a pop up store too that was at FiDi at 180 Maiden Lane in NYC.
Should you need to avail yourself these items to remind yourself to book a vacation, head to https://shopjetblue.com/office-souvenirs.html.
Alternately, head to www.jetblue.com/vacations and have a look for some ideas on how to escape the office.
But seriously America… if you can make time – take a break from work. There’s nothing more soul-destroying in life than the drudge of a day-to-day life in the office without the hope of a break.
